How to reach MINES ParisTech, 35, rue Saint Honoré – 77305 Fontainebleau

From Paris:

  • By road:
    Leave Paris by Porte d’Orléans or Porte d’Italie. Take the A6 motorway direction Lyon. At approximately 40 km from Paris, leave the motorway and follow the signs Fontainebleau for about 15 km (highway to 4 lanes). Arriving at Fontainebleau, the School of Mines is indicated.
  • By train:
    From Gare de Lyon in Paris. Départ Grandes lignes, direction
    Montereau or Montargis. One train per half hour; travel time 40 minutes (about 8 €). Get off at station Fontainebleau-Avon.
    Take a bus to the center of Fontainebleau town (direction Château) or a taxi (MINES ParisTech is 3 km from the station). Follow Rue Royale; take the first crossing street on the right (Rue Saint-Honoré). The School entrance in on the left.

From Orly airport: This airport is situated at the South of Paris and approximately 45 km from Fontainebleau).

  • By public transport:
    Get the shuttle ORLYVAL to Antony or the ORLYBUS which stops at Denfert Rochereau. Get the RER line B (direction Charles de Gaulle / Mitry-Claye). Get out at station Chatelet-les-Halles and take the RER A (direction Marne La Vallée/Boissy-St-Léger), get out at the station Gare de Lyon. Take the train to Fontainebleau (see above)
  • By taxi:
    Approximately 110 € (depending on the day and arrival time; prices negotiated with the Center of Geosciences – please contact us). Travel time about 45 minutes.

From Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport: This airport is situated at the North of Paris and approximately 90 km from Fontainebleau).

  • By public transport:
    Get the RER B direction Saint Rémy-lès-Chevreuses/Massy, get out at the station Châtelet-les-Halles. Take the RER A direction Marne-la-Vallée/Boissy-St-Léger, and get off at the station Gare de Lyon. Take the train to Fontainebleau (see above)
  • By taxi:
    Approximately 130 € (depending on the day and arrival time; prices negotiated with the Center of Geosciences – please contact us). Travel time about 1 hour 1⁄2.
